Originally from Pittsburgh, Steve Snider moved to Tampa to pursue his degree in Finance from the University of South Florida and has been an active member of his community for many years. Steve was selected to serve as the statistician and data analyst for the initial AmeriCorps VISTA grant to investigate the opioid crisis in Hernando County.
Adam Shehub studied Biomedical Sciences and graduated from the University of South Florida with hopes to provide medical services to under-privileged communities. Adam helped found our sister chapter, TORN USF before continuing his education at Lincoln Memorial University's DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Adam Albadawi graduated from University of South Florida with his master's degree in Biomedical Sciences and is a co-founder of the "Who Wore it Better" project. Adam's interest in this project stems from the opiate-related death of his 44 year old uncle in 2016. He is currently pursing his medical degree from Lake Eerie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Suzie Johns is an alumna of the University of South Florida. After completing her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the Muma College of Business, Suzie moved to Egypt to teach secondary school. She moved back to Tampa to work as a Medical Marketer at Advanced Pain Care. Suzie's passion of serving her community lead to her involvement with TORN.
Paola Perez studies at the University of South Florida and has a passion for service. As the former Miss Tampa Bay USA, her "beauty for a purpose" mission was opioid awareness. Paola has been personally impacted by the opioid crisis and was a part of the initial founding of this organization. She currently spearheads the TORN USF chapter in Tampa.
